I have to be honest, this snowy cold Michigan winter weather really doesn’t bother me all that much.
Years of working in the service industry and listening to person after person start complaining about the weather as soon as the first flake appeared or as soon as the mercury diped below 40°F and I never really understood what the problem is.
Now, I don’t participate in winter sports or have any real reason for liking the snowy cold, I just don’t mind it. I don’t mind bundling myself and my girl into layers of snow gear for some cold play time. I don’t mind being stuck at home because of horrible road conditions. Until now.
This is it, I’ve had enough! Maybe it’s the result of the particularly mild winter we had last year. Or maybe it’s because of the incessant snow shoveling I’ve had to keep up with over the last month. I don’t know what has changed, but if I see another snowflake fall this season I just might lose it!
Today the sun is shining and the temps are well above freezing. I stepped outside and heard birds chirping! A glimmer of hope!
It’ll be March before the week is over, and while I’m sure we’ll be snowed in again at least one or two more times, spring is right around the corner, and I can’t wait!
What is your favorite season? Any particular reason why?
